View full post on Instagram Describe 'Oh, Hello' to someone who has never been to New York and never met a Jewish person. Now, Oh, Hello! is available to watch on Netflix, featuring guests Steve Martin and Michael J. And yet, both "Too Much Tuna" and Oh, Hello! (that's George and Gil's signature greeting) have resonated, proof that specificity is indeed the soul of narrative. The two main characters are elderly, slightly creepy failures living together in a massive, rent-controlled Upper West Side apartment. The show is equal parts improv, guest interview, and Waiting for Guffman-esque regional theater, where a scripted scene about falling in love with a raccoon can swerve into a ten-minute roasting of an audience member. We thought it was going to be more of a celebratory experience. Geegland and Gil Faizon, made famous by the "Too Much Tuna" sketches on Kroll Show-was supposed to be a birthday gift for my husband, whose birthday was Election Day. The show-starring John Mulaney and Nick Kroll as their characters George St. I saw Oh, Hello! the day after the election.
